Hello! My name is Kelli Colella and I am blessed to be the school counselor at Christ the Teacher Catholic School. I grew up in Delaware, I attended St. Thomas the Apostle Elementary School and St. Elizabeth High School. I have a Master's degree in Elementary and Middle School Counseling from Wilmington University and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Neuman. I have been working and serving for the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington for over 22 years. Prior to working at Christ the Teacher I was the school counselor at St. Thomas the Apostle School for 13 years until it closed in 2008.
I am married and have one daughter Alex, who graduated from St. Mark’s High School and attends the University of Delaware. I enjoy listening to all genres of music but I especially like country music. I love spending time with my family and our dogs.
Working at Christ the Teacher allows me the opportunity to minister in many ways, such as working with students in small groups, teaching classroom guidance lessons, advising the Diversity Club and Honor Society and helping with the Spring Musical. All these things and many more are the reasons I love coming to work every day. Catholic education played a big role in making me the person I am and I am thankful for that gift every day.
